At Moon & Moor we are featuring a local artist/maker each month.

This month is Judith Magowan, of Okehampton. Predominantly working with acrylics on board her beautiful paintings are the perfect Autumnal subject matter of squashes, chillies & plants, in the stunning colour scheme of burnt oranges, purples and and greys.

‘Judith Magowan is a landscape and still life artist residing in Okehampton. Growing up in Cornwall Judith found her love for art early on- enchanted by the magnificent south coast scenery. This love of landscape art has remained strong, as a keen walker she is inspired by the colours and patterns that Dartmoor has to offer, capturing these magical scenes is a challenging task for anyone. However, Judith tries to focus on the light of the moment in addition to the texture and patterns to achieve the art that she produces; her main studio being a reconverted garden shed, which is a sanctuary for Judith.’

Judith’s art will be on display until the end of October.
